Clinical Psychologist | Registered Nurse Mindfulness Meditation Teacher

Daughter, wife, mother & BRCA2 carrier

A woman who has walked this path herself

For nearly two decades, I’ve supported people through some of life’s most tender chapters, body image concerns, cancer journeys, genetic risk, and palliative care.

I’m a Clinical Psychologist (10 years) and Registered Nurse (20 years), and I’ve worked in the body image space for almost that entire time.

I’m also an accredited mindfulness meditation teacher who has seen the power of mindfulness first-hand, both in my work with clients and in my own life. These skills have helped me navigate my mastectomy journey, calm the inner critic, and rebuild compassion and I know they can help countless women do the same.

But my work isn’t just professional, it’s personal.

I have walked the cancer journey with both my parents, and with my mother through breast cancer, including a double mastectomy.

I’m also a BRCA2 carrier and have undergone my own preventative double mastectomy.

These experiences didn’t just inform my practice, they ignited my mission and passion.

After surgery, people check wounds and drains. Medical and nursing teams are rightly focused on healing, treatment and survival. What often goes unaddressed is how these treatments affect a woman’s relationship with her body. The silence can be isolating.

I’ve navigated my own body image journey, not only through mastectomy, but as a woman in a world that tries to dictate how we should look and who we should be.

I don’t buy into systems that profit from our insecurities. I believe in separating worth from appearance, challenging patriarchal beauty rules, and building a life that’s richer, braver, and more joyful than before.

How I can support you?

I created Healing Body Project to fill the gap between surgical care and psychological healing—so women have a safe, skilled space to process grief, rebuild confidence, and reclaim their lives if they are struggling after mastectomy surgery.

It is a one-of-a-kind program for women after mastectomy to learn through education and skills, creating the opportunity for women to move from grief and hiding to strength, confidence, and self-trust.

There is no other program like it in the mastectomy space.

What it feels like to work with me?

Evidence-based + deeply human: I blend psychology, nursing insight, mindfulness, and lived experience.

Compassion over perfection: No fixing your body, just finding your way home to it, learning how to live and be in your body now.

Practical tools, real change: Education on how the brain + culture shape body image, skills to calm the inner critic, strategies for understanding and managing emotions, confidence, intimacy, and values-aligned living.

Your pace, your power: Whether you prefer self-paced learning or guided support, we build momentum without pressure or shame.

Core values I won’t compromise on?

Authenticity, trust, fun, compassion, respect and a fierce belief that every woman deserves to take up space in her body, her relationships, and her life, no matter what her body looks like.

You are not broken. You are not vain. You are certainly not alone.

You’ve survived so much already. You are so strong, now this strength needs to be harnessed for yourself. It's time to help you live on your terms, whatever they are.

With Warmth and Care,

Natasha
